Website Terms of Use

Last updated 21 July 2026 · Governed by the laws of Singapore.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of lawmotion.life (the "Website") operated by LawMotion Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202659374M) ("LawMotion", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Website you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy at /privacy.php and our Cookie Policy at /cookies.php. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website. These Terms apply to all visitors, enquirers and users regardless of whether you become a client.

2. About LawMotion

LawMotion is a Singapore law practice providing professional legal services including commercial contracts and negotiations, corporate advisory for growing companies, dispute assessment and resolution pathways, employment counsel for employers and employees, compliance and policy reviews, and regional matters with a Singapore law anchor. We operate from 79 Robinson Road, #08-01 CPF Building, Singapore 068897. We are not a marketing agency, artificial intelligence product vendor, income-course provider, fitness studio, wellness retreat operator or lifestyle coaching service.

3. Meaning of LawMotion and The Practice Gallery

"LawMotion" combines law with measured motion — progress through structured legal steps (Brief · Advise · File · Resolve). "The Practice Gallery" is our counsel delivery metaphor describing how we organise client matters with visible structure in bright gallery rooms. These terms do not refer to physical art sales, fitness movement classes, wellness motion therapy or dating applications. The .life top-level domain is branding only and does not indicate that we provide lifestyle, wellness or fitness services.

4. No legal advice on the Website

All content on the Website — including service descriptions, illustrative matters, FAQ answers, fee ranges and blog-style prose — is general information only. It does not constitute legal advice tailored to your circumstances. No solicitor-client relationship is created by browsing the Website, downloading materials or submitting an enquiry form unless and until LawMotion confirms engagement in writing after a completed conflict check. You must not rely on Website content as a substitute for formal advice on a specific legal issue.

5. No guaranteed outcomes

LawMotion does not guarantee case results, recovery amounts, negotiation outcomes, dispute-free business operations, regulatory approvals, funding success or any specific commercial performance. Illustrative matters displayed on the gallery wall are anonymised examples of past processes — not promises of future results. Legal outcomes depend on facts, evidence, applicable law, counterparties, forums, timing and client instructions. Fee ranges published on the Website are indicative estimates in Singapore dollars subject to scope and conflict check results; binding fees appear only in engagement letters.

6. Eligibility and lawful use

You must use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: attempt unauthorised access to our systems or third-party systems through the Website; introduce malware or harmful code; scrape or harvest content for competing unlawful purposes; impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation; submit false or misleading information through forms; use automated means to overload the Website; or use the Website in any way that violates applicable Singapore or international law. We accept client instructions only where lawful; we will not assist in misrepresenting facts or circumventing legal obligations.

7. Enquiries and contact forms

When you submit our contact form you represent that information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must complete required fields and provide valid PDPA consent via the consent_pdpa checkbox. Hidden honeypot fields must remain empty; populated honeypot submissions may be discarded silently. Submission does not guarantee that we can accept your matter — conflict checks may prevent engagement. We aim to respond within two business days during office hours but do not guarantee response times on the Website alone.

8. Intellectual property

All Website content — including text, design, layout, graphics, photographs, logos, filing arc motif and compilation — is owned by LawMotion Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display or commercially exploit Website content without our prior written consent except as permitted by fair dealing or other non-waivable legal rights.

9. Trade marks and branding

LawMotion, The Practice Gallery, Brief · Advise · File · Resolve and associated visual identity are used to identify our legal services. Unauthorised use of our branding to imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation is prohibited. If you operate an unrelated business with similar naming (for example fitness or wellness), you must not use our marks in a way that causes confusion with our law practice.

10. Third-party links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or resources for convenience — for example government agencies, courts or professional bodies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices or terms. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, we disclaim all warranties whether express, implied or statutory including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or free of viruses.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, LawMotion Pte. Ltd. and its directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Website. Our aggregate liability for claims relating solely to Website use (distinct from engaged legal services governed by engagement letters) shall not exceed S$100 unless a higher limit cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LawMotion from claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Website, or your submission of false or misleading information — except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

14. Fees and separate engagement terms

Website fee references are non-binding estimates. Legal services are governed by separate engagement letters setting out scope, fees, billing rhythm, termination and dispute resolution specific to client matters. If there is conflict between these Website Terms and a signed engagement letter regarding active legal services, the engagement letter prevails for that matter.

15. Professional standards and complaints

Our solicitors and counsel adhere to professional conduct rules applicable in Singapore. Complaints about legal services should first be directed to [email protected]. Complaints about Website accessibility or privacy may be directed to [email protected]. These Terms do not replace professional regulatory processes applicable to legal practitioners.

16. Template and document clarification

Any checklists, sample clauses or document templates referenced on the Website are illustrative tools supporting counsel work under engagement — not standalone products replacing professional legal advice. Using templates without appropriate review for your facts and jurisdiction may create legal risk for which we are not responsible unless engaged to advise.

17. Dispute resolution for Website terms

Parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by written notice to [email protected] before commencing proceedings solely regarding these Website Terms (distinct from client matter disputes governed by engagement letters). If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would apply another jurisdiction's laws. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts for Website-related disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified minimally to reflect the parties' intent where possible.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when revisions are published. Material changes may additionally be highlighted on the Website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of revised Terms where permitted by law. If you disagree with changes, discontinue use of the Website.
